When she heard he was going to be in concert she had to go see him easier said then done.
For months I desperately tried to budget and figure out how to get tickets it wasn't that there weren't tickets is was the price of them!
I went onto craigslist and was shocked at how much some people were selling them for 1000 and up!! No thank you, I had just about given up hope when I came across seat geek selling tickets pretty cheap I order 2 tickets fast!
Laylaboo had no idea, On the day of the concert I picked her from school and said guess what? she just started at me and said what? I said guess where we are going right now? She said I don't know? I said where do you really want to go , A big smile spread across her face and she said Justin bieber concert I was like well guess what we are going right now she was so excited but also shocked.
The concert was in Portland now for most people this is no big deal but for me I have never driven there and was afraid I would get lost so I enlisted the help of my ex husband who navigated me the whole way there.
I thought by leaving right after laylaboo got out of school would be a good idea but we were super early and it kinda made the wait a bit annoying, But It didn't matter to laylaboo we were now entering bieber fever land
. I would of liked to say that the crowd of concert goers were young giggly teen crazed girls but instead it was full of middle aged moms dressed in three inch heels with mini skirts and all there goods being shown off ,I felt like I was in a nightclub for god sake and I found great amusement with the thought that these poor women probably thought Justin bieber was going to see them and be awed by there beauty this made me laugh to myself of course.
finally we found the door we were suppose to enter we waited in ridiculously long line and were all herding in like a pack of sheep.
Laylaboo and I found are seats way high up, I got the nose bleed section but Laylaboo didn't seem to mind one bit she was just happy to be there.
now being a mom and secondly being someone who has gone to a few concerts you would think I would have brought my child snacks and something to drink and at least enough money to buy food I ashamed to admit I did not, what was I thinking? Well for one my last concert was a backstreet boys concert and I honestly didn't remember food being that expensive and I mean come on packing food was the last thing of my mind at least I remembered the ear plugs.
So we chewed on gum and I managed to buy laylaboo cotton candy I know not the best choice but it was cheap. she was really hungry but made the best of it, besides she was super excited waiting for Justin bieber to come out.
Now for a minor compliment of mine I realize there is opening acts which you may or may not like and that is OK with me but when a concert Say's starting time at 7pm and Justin bieber doesn't come out on stage until almost 9.30/10 pm I have a huge problem with this for one ,I have a 7yr who is anxiously awaiting your presence on stage who is on the verge of a flipping meltdown and I don't blame her she was hungry bored, and tired, I realize I chose to bring my 7yr old on a school night to a concert but making your fans wait that long is just silly!!
But there was no meltdown the arena was suddenly defing from all the screaming and out walks the biebs!
I look over and laylaboo has big tears just coming down I ask her are you ok? and she smiles and Say's mommy I am so happy to see Justin bieber I am crying tears of joy!!
so all in all it was a awesome show I even enjoyed it and had fun.
And it is a memory that I don't think laylaboo well soon forget.
But just a side note to JB as if he would ever read my blog but you know on the off chance it did happen Please remember you have young fans awaiting you could you please try to come out a bit earlier and stay on stage a bit longer?? other than that keep putting on awesome shows!!
